Tomorrow, Wednesday 20th of February, Fira Mediterrània of Manresa Foundation will be hosting a meeting of the ‘Joint working party with the professional arts sector of Catalonia’ at its main offices in Carrer Arquitecte Oms 5, in Manresa. Five associations with close ties to our country's arts sector will be attending: the Professional Association of Representatives, Promoters and Managers of Catalonia; the Association of Dance Professionals of Catalonia; the TTP/Professional Association of Theatre for All Audiences; the Association of Circus Professionals of Catalonia; the Associations of Professional Actors and Directors of Catalonia, and CIATRE (the Association of Professional Catalan Theatre Companies).
The working party was set up in June 2012 to improve coordination between Fira Mediterrània of Manresa and the professional sector. One of its first actions was to organise a professional event in Manresa’s Museu de la Tècnica as part of the Mediterrània Professional Meeting at the 15th Fira last year. The basic aim of the event was to improve training for professionals to equip them with the skills for adapting to the new performing and creative arts ecosystem, as well as providing the best conditions for sellers and potential buyers to make contact with each other.
The associations in the working party represent 2,254 companies, groups and creative artists.
This Tuesday’s meeting will start at 10 am, with a coffee break at 11.30 am to give the media a chance to talk to the people attending the meeting.
