Fira Mediterrània of Manresa will be attending the 22nd European Fair of Scenic Arts for Children, FETEN, due to take place in Gijón, Asturias this week. More than sixty companies will be showcasing their latest productions. The event will be premiering seven creative pieces as part of a programme featuring companies from Austria, France, Great Britain, Holland, Italy, New Zealand and Portugal, plus around fifteen others from various regions in Spain. A total of 140 performances are planned of productions from a cross-section of disciplines such as dance, opera, drama, puppet and object theatre, magic circus, clowning and story adaptations. Plus, FETEN is once again a meeting place for programmers, promoters and creative artists, all of whom will be analysing the latest creative trends and working to push forward a cultural market that strengthens the sector against a background of economic constraints and the difficulties involved in achieving sustainability in the performing arts.
Fira Mediterrània of Manresa is expected to attend the board meeting and general assembly of members of the Spanish State Performing Arts Fairs Coordinator, as well as the assembly of the State Theatre, Auditoriums and Circuits Network, of which it is also a member.
