The second Trovam! opens today, the only music marketplace in the Valencia region. The event is a Valencian Music Association (VAM!) initiative, comprising LaCasaCalba, Mésdemil, Metrònom, Pro21 and Suport Produccions. Fira Mediterrània has a partnership agreement with the association which sees the two marketplaces exchange bands in their respective programmes (El Diluvi will perform in Manresa and Yacine & The Oriental Groove at Trovam!). Other partnership actions include communication and professional participation initiatives at both events. Trovam! will also take part in one of the speed dating sessions in Fira Mediterranea’s Business Area.
The marketplace, launched in Castellon last year, aims to give publicity to the dynamic music scene in Valencia. It also wants to consolidate itself as a hub of music industry debate and analysis and a vehicle for strengthening connections in the Valencian music industry. Another key aim is to establish itself as a gateway for projects from Catalonia, promoting a genuine Mediterranean corridor of industry professionals and cultural events in the Catalan language.
