Fira Mediterrània is participating in Womex 19
From today until Sunday 27th October, Fira Mediterrània de Manresa will be at Womex 19, world music’s most important international fair which is being held in Tempere (Finland) this year. Fira Mediterrània will be at the stand run by the Catalan Institute for Cultural Companies (ICEC) under its international brand Catalan Arts-Music, alongside twenty other companies, artists, fairs and Catalan institutions.
Womex is the world music scene’s biggest gathering, bringing together more than 2,400 delegates from over 90 countries in an expansive fair space with presentations and concerts. Fira Mediterrània will make the most of its time in Finland by meeting with sector professionals and seeing a variety of showcases. The highlights include participating in the Forum of Worldwide Music Festivals members meeting – a platform in which the Fira is involved – during the morning of 24th October, and the meeting held at the Catalan Arts stand to encourage professional networking, planned for Friday 25th at 13:30.
