Fira Mediterrània attends the 22nd Womex

Over the coming days, Fira Mediterrània Manresa will be at the 22nd Womex, the leading professional event for world music, in Santiago de Compostela. Fira will be at the Catalan stand, organised by the Departament de Cultura, through the Institut Català de les Empreses Culturals, as part of the Creative Catalonia brand. From 19 to 23 October, 41 Catalan companies and institutions and 65 accredited professionals will be at Santiago de Copostela, mainly at the Departament de Cultura stand.

Womex is the leading international world music fair, attended by the most influential agents in the music industry. It is a five-day annual event and is hosted at a different location each year. The event consists of a trade fair, conferences and 60 concerts, featuring more than 300 artists from 50 different countries. Fira, which brings together 2,500 representatives from 90 countries, is open to receiving artistic submissions based on all styles of world music (traditional, classic, modern, popular and electronic).
