Fira Mediterrània at BabelMed, the world music market in Marseille

Fira Mediterrània Manresa is one of fifteen Catalan companies and organisations taking part in the Babel Med Music forum in Marseille from 26 to 28 March. It is the most highly acclaimed world music market in France and one of the most renowned events for world music internationally. BabelMed Music is a major networking hub for Catalan companies, as the first port of call for Catalan artists entering the French market.

Fira Mediterrània is at the Generalitat of Catalonia stand, alongside other Catalan companies and organisations. Fira Mediterrània will conduct speed meetings on Friday 27 March with all interested registered professionals and it will also host a DAMM beer tasting session on Saturday 28 March to promote networking among industry professionals. At the same time, while in Marseille, Fira Mediterrània will participate in meetings organised by the European Forum of Worldwide Music Festivals (EFWMF).

Currently in its eleventh year, Babel Med Music has 2,500 registered industry professionals set to attend from sixty countries. The programme includes some thirty concerts across four different stages, as well as 160 stands and 21 scheduled conferences and roundtable discussions.
