Today and tomorrow, Fira Mediterrània will be attending the Crossroads of Ostrava conference, devoted to central European music. It is the event’s third year in the Czech Republic. The Crossroads line-up also features a range of showcases by local folk, acoustic and jazz bands that will gain exposure to industry professionals at the event. This year, the talks and debates at Crossroads focus on the exportation of music.

The conference is being held in the spectacular Dolní Vítkovice, facilities, a former industrial site that used to house the Dolní Vítkovice iron and steel works, comprising the mines and blast furnace; the site has European Cultural Heritage status. The conference is held in the run-up to the Colours of Ostrava music festival, which starts on Thursday and ends on Sunday.
