The Spanish Performing Arts Trade Fairs Coordinator (COFAE), of which Fira Mediterrànea of Manresa is member, is launching a new web site, www.cofae.net. The new online platform has been designed by Perfórnika studio and has a brand new modern look, using agile and practical technology, enabling all fifteen trade fairs coordinated by COFAE to update details of their activities and events. These changes mean that the latest news and event details can be added to the COFAE web site easily, ensuring that it continues to be a useful tool for sector professionals all through the year.
The new COFAE web site contains a wealth of information on all the trade fairs it coordinates, plus a photo and video gallery for each event. The web site also includes a series of extremely useful working tools. For example, the Latest News section, with up-to-date information about COFAE members and the sector as a whole. The New Premieres section is open to all groups, companies, promoters, distributors, theatres and the like, who can add details of their forthcoming shows. The web site is also connected to 2.0 social networks and gives users the chance to subscribe to the COFAE newsletter or the newsletter issued by any one of the member trade fairs. The web site has a practical calendar with an overview of all the COFAE fairs taking place throughout the year. All the information on the web site is in both Spanish and English.
The new web site is sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport. It was officially unveiled in February at FETEN, the European Performing Arts Fair for Boys and Girls, in Gijón (Asturias). Alongside the launch event, FETEN hosted a training session for all COFAE trade fairs, giving tips on how to find their way around the new web site.
