We attend the Hungarian Folk Music Showcase Day

The Hungarian Heritage House recently hosted the Hungarian Folk Music Showcase Day, an activity-packed event with traditional Hungarian music groups. It was targeted at Hungarian and foreign event booking managers from Catalonia, Italy, Estonia, Poland, Serbia and Slovenia, including delegates from Fira Mediterrània Manresa.

The Hungarian Heritage House is committed to preserving and promoting traditional culture from the Panonian Basin by developing activities that promote folkloric music internationally. A new initiative this year, the Hungarian Folk Music Showcase Day aims to present music to festival organisers and concert hall managers, consisting of Hungarian and international professionals. Delegates from Fira discovered contemporary bands and other international artists at the showcase.

The activity takes place within the framework of the Budapest Folk Fest, organised by the prestigious Hungarian record label Fono.
