Fira Mediterrània attend the fourth Fresh Circus international seminar

A delegation from Fira Mediterrània Manresa will be at Fresh Circus, the International Seminar for the Development of Circus Arts (one of Circostrada network's main events), which marks its fourth year in Brussels, from 13 to 15 March. For three days, Fresh Circus will explore a variety of circus arts and promote networking among artists and professionals from Europe and beyond. Entitled, "More Than Circus", this year represents an opportunity to explore circus symbolism and its stereotypes, to highlight new and innovative initiatives and to showcase the diversity of circus art. Professionals connected with the word of circus and street art, in all its aspects, will be at Fresh Circus, including booking agents, artists, producers, politicians, trainers, researchers and journalists.

Circostrada Network is dedicated to developing and promoting circus and street arts in Europe and other countries worldwide. The association has more than 90 members from over 30 countries, and it helps to build a sustainable future for the circus and street art industries through promoting cultural artists. Initiatives include producing resources and organising initiatives centred on observation and research, as well as organising professional exchanges, promoting the industry, teaching skills and disseminating information. Fresh Circus takes place in Brussels as part of the Festival Up! - a Biennial International Circus Festival with an extensive artistic programme, held in a range of cultural venues across Belgium in collaboration with Espace Catastrophe and Wallonie-Bruxelles Théâtre/Danse.

In 2017, Fira Mediterrània attended Fresh Street, Circostrada's International Seminar for the Development of Street Arts, held in Santa Maria de Feira (Portugal) as part of Imaginarius, the International Festival of Street Theatre.
