Fira Mediterrània at 20th Womex
From today until Sunday 26 October, Fira Mediterrània will be at the 20th Womex World Music Expo, which is taking place this year in Santiago de Compostela. Fira is one of 40 Catalan companies and institutions at Womex (comprising 30% of Spanish companies overall and twice the number of Catalan companies that were at the event last year).

Fira Mediterrànean will be at the Department of Culture stand for the Generalitat (regional government) of Catalonia. Fira Mediterrània’s artistic director David Ibanez will offer ‘One-to-One Mentoring’ sessions, providing consultation on the Catalan and Spanish music scene to registered delegates for the activity. These sessions will take place on 24 and 25 October, from 11.30 am to 1 pm. In addition, on Saturday, Fira will offer an aperitif with Estrella Damm to promote networking among registered delegates.
Womex is considered the most important world music expo worldwide. It has more than 2,200 registered industry professionals and 1,200 companies from 90 countries. This year Womex is being held in Santiago de Compostela; last year it took place in Cardiff.
