The 9th TV3 Marathon will be taking place on 15 December, this year in support of charities working with neurodegenerative diseases. Money donated during the TV3 programme and from fund-raising activities and events held all over the country will be invested in research into chronic progressive diseases of the central nervous system, including Multiple Sclerosis, ALS, Parkinson's Disease and Alzheimer’s Disease. Fira Mediterrània of Manresa has been involved in publicising the initiative for some years.

The ‘Teatre per a Tots els Públics’ (TTP) Professional Association will be devoting the 12th IN-FORMATIVA #ttforma session to Fira Mediterrània of Manresa. This activity, open to anyone wishing to attend, is due to take place on 12 March at 10 am at the Fira Mediterrània headquarters in c/ Arquitecte Orms, number 5 (Casa Lluvià) in Manresa. The session will feature David Ibáñez, Artistic Director of Fira, and Lídia Hinojo, who is in charge of looking after professional delegates at Fira.

Fira Mediterrania Manresa/Catalonia is looking forward to 18th edition between 15th to 18th October! Fira will open our Network Meetings, the tool to participate in the professional area. A chance to connect with industry professionals from all over the world: managers, directors, delegates, cultural managers, societies, institutions, advertising marketing experts and more.

Bestiari was the production that won Cabo San Roque one of the first Innovation in Popular Culture grants sponsored by the Jaume Casademont Foundation. The grant enabled the group to perform the show for the first time at the 2011 Fira Mediterrània of Manresa and now they are part of this year's Temporada Alta festival programme. Up to now, they have taken Bestiari to Zaragoza, Valencia, Mercat de Música Viva in Vic and Barcelona, where they performed for a week in Sala Beckett.

FiraTàrrega 2016 takes place from today until Sunday - an international performing arts fair and renowned showcase event, focused on street, visual and unconventional performance art. This year FiraTàrrega’s line-up has an intercultural feel, with special emphasis given to performance art from Chile. Booking agents from around the world are at the event, which features an extensive programme of professional activities, with presentations aimed at all performing arts related industries.

Fira Mediterrània of Manresa will be on the judging panel for the Premis Altaveu awards in Sant Boi de Llobregat, a music contest now in its 25th year. The awards were set up in 1990 to acknowledge the songs and musical shows produced over many years by people who believe in music and make it their life’s work.  The Premis Altaveu are awarded in recognition of artists, organisations and initiatives that have made the greatest contribution to the country’s music scene during the year.

From today until Sunday 26 October, Fira Mediterrània will be at the 20th Womex World Music Expo, which is taking place this year in Santiago de Compostela. Fira is one of 40 Catalan companies and institutions at Womex (comprising 30% of Spanish companies overall and twice the number of Catalan companies that were at the event last year).
